Developed in August 2026 at the Young V&A by Oily Cart, SideWays Play is a new, radically inclusive sensory installation. I am Associate Director on the project. 

 

What does a texture sound like? How do colours feel? In the SideWays World, there are more than five senses — and the fun begins when you mix them up. Children and grown-ups can explore and play in an accessible, immersive sensory landscape where everything’s sort of the same… but a little bit more SideWays.
 

The final playscape will open at Southbank Centre in January 2027.
