London City Airport. The most convenient airport with connections into central London taking 25 minutes using the DLR. The DLR runs daily from 05:30 - 00:00 and accepts contactless payment, the airport is also easily reached by taxi.

London City Airport ist der zentralste Flughafen mit der bequemsten Verbindung in die Innenstadt via DLR (Docklands Light Railway). Die DLR faehrt taeglich zwischen 5:30 Uhr und Mitternacht und akzeptiert kontaktloses Bezahlen. Der Flughafen ist auch gut mit dem Taxi erreichbar.

London Heathrow. The largest airport with easy access into Central London, taking around 35 minutes using the Elizabeth Line. You can also use the Piccadilly Line which is much slower, around 1.5 hours. Both offer contactless payment and run from around 05:30 - 00:00.  The Heathrow Express is a high speed train taking 15 minutes to arrive into London Paddington Station and operates from 05:30 - 23:20. You must purchase a ticket for this service, you can not use contactless payment. Tickets for the Heathrow Express are available at the airport or online. Taxis to and from Heathrow are very expensive around £90-£180 one way.

London Heathrow ist der groesste Flughafen und ist gut an die Innenstadt angebunden. Mit der Elizabeth Line braucht man etwa 35 Minuten, mit der Picadilly Line etwa 1.5 Stunden. Beide Linien sind mit kontaktlosem Bezahlen fahrbar zwischen 5:30 Uhr und Mitternacht. Der Heathrow Express ist ein Schnellzug, mit dem man etwa 15 Minuten bis nach London Paddington braucht. Der Heathrow Express faehrt von 5:30 Uhr bis 23:20 Uhr. Fuer den Heathrow Express muss man ein extra Ticket kaufen, kontakloses Bezahlen geht nicht. Tickets fuer den Heathrow Express gibt es online oder am Flughafen. Taxis von und nach London Heathrow Airport sind teuer und kosten etwa 90 bis 180£.

 

London Gatwick. A less convenient airport with trains into London taking around 1 hour, which come into London Bridge Station or London Victoria Station. You can also use contactless payment for these trains and they run 24 hours.

London Gatwick ist ein weniger gut angebundener Flughafen. Man braucht etwa 1 Stunde mit dem Zug nach London Bridge Station oder London Victoria Station. Beide Zugoptionen sind mit kontaktlosem Bezahlen fahrbar und sie fahren 24h.

 

Stansted Airport. Further out of London, this airport operates a lot of low budget flights. Transport into London is via the Stansted Express Train which comes into Liverpool Street Station and runs from 04:00 - 00:00. Tickets must be purchased for this service, contactless payment is not accepted. Alternatively the National Express runs a cheap but slower coach service 24 hours, arriving into Stratford Station, London Liverpool Street Station and London Victoria Station. Tickets can be purchased online or at the airport on arrival (directly at the bus terminal; follow the airport signs).

Stansted Flughafen ist etwas ausserhalb von London und hat ein breites Angebot von guenstigeren Fluglinien. Transport nach London Stadt laeuft ueber den Stansted Express Train, der nach Liverpool Street Station faehrt und zwischen 4:00 Uhr und Mitternacht verkehrt. Fuer diesen Zug muss ein Ticket gekauft werden (online oder am Flughafen), kontaktloses Bezahlen ist nicht moeglich. Alternativ kann man mit dem Bus (National Express) fahren. Der Busservice laeuft 24h zwischen Stansted Airport und Stratford Station oder London Liverpool Street Station oder London Victoria Station. Tickets fuer den Bus koennen online oder am Flughafen gekauft werden (direkt am Bus Terminal, einfach den Flughafen Schildern folgen).

 

Luton Airport. Also offers low budget flights and is served by the Luton Express Train, arriving into London St Pancras station. These trains are less frequent and do not run through the night. You need to purchase a ticket in advance or at the airport, you can not use contactless payment. ​

Luton Flughafen bietet guenstige Fluege an und ist ueber den Luton Express Train erreichbar, der in London St Pancras station ankommt. Die Zuege sind weniger frequent und fahren nicht ueber Nacht. Fuer diesen Zug muss ein Ticket gekauft werden, kontakloses Bezahlen geht nicht.
